About Ovara

Ovara is the trading name of Portusgrowth Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (Company No. 14868500). We sell one product, deliberately: the Ovara™ Sound Amplifier, a rechargeable behind-the-ear personal sound amplifier for situational listening.

Why one product?

Because doing one thing properly beats doing ten things adequately. We specify the design, components, quality control and packaging ourselves, and our devices are built at our manufacturing partner's facility in Shenzhen, China — then shipped directly to you. No importers, no distributors, no retail markups. That direct line is why the full pair costs £73 rather than several hundred pounds.

What we will and won't claim

This matters to us, so here it is in plain English: the Ovara™ Sound Amplifier is a consumer electronics product for situational listening — TV at a comfortable volume, conversation in quiet settings, lectures, worship, and the outdoors. It is not a hearing aid, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat or compensate for hearing loss. If you find everyday conversation difficult to hear, the right first step is a hearing-care professional, not our checkout.
